Los Angeles Times writer issues apology for column describing LSU players as ‘dirty debutantes’


Los Angeles Instances author Ben Bolch has issued an apology a couple of column previewing the LSU women’s basketball workforce forward of their Candy 16 matchup in opposition to UCLA after Tigers head coach Kim Mulkey ripped the piece for being “sexist,” “terrible” and “unsuitable.”

The LA Instances up to date the column with an editor’s notice on Monday that mentioned it was “edited to take away language that was inappropriate and offensive” after discovering that the unique model “didn’t meet Instances editorial requirements.”

“We apologize to the LSU basketball program and to our readers,” the notice added.
